Creation, specialists in packaging, artwork, reprographics and plate production, has appointed a former work placement student as a commercial design artist at its Daventry headquarters.
Charlie Barge, now aged 18, developed a passion for design during his work placement in 2017, before being appointed as a studio trainee.
In his new role, Charlie will build on his skills andknowledge of designing creative artwork and maintaining digital systems. It provides a firm foundation to develop a career with Creation and gain crucial skills for the print industry of today and tomorrow.

He is creative and technologically-savvy, a valuable asset in an ever-changing business environment. He has been able to demonstrate himself as an eager and proactive team member, whose enthusiasm is noticed throughout the workplace.

By 2025 young millennials will account for 75% of the workforce within the print industry and will be the pioneers of new technologically advanced working practices, used to keep up with rising demands and industry expansion into e-commerce.

For me, the print industry is an attractive career prospect, presenting challenges and new ways of working.
